Walpole Friends was set up in December 2009 as an autonomous sub-group of the Walpole Residents’ Association (WRA) with a view to the WRA providing the support and infrastructure for the group in the short term with the aim of Walpole Friends becoming an independent organisation, provided the level of interest and activities warrant it. It was constituted with the aim of giving users of Pitzhanger Manor, and its immediate parks, a focus for working with Ealing Council and to provide a coherent voice for influencing how these historic facilities can be used to best effect and their role enhanced in the Borough.
